JANICE’S COACHING POLICIES
- Will ensure client understands the nature and purpose of coaching.
- Coaching is not counseling, therapy or consulting services. Coaching is not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care. It is not intended to diagnosis, treat, or cure mental health or medical conditions.
- The client brings the agenda to the meeting and will be required to be invested in the process.
- Will protect your information as confidential unless stated otherwise in writing. If you report child or elder abuse or neglect or threaten to harm yourself or someone else, I will take appropriate action and confidentiality will be limited in these extreme circumstances.
- Understand that the use of technology is not always secure and accept the risks associated in the use of email, text, Zoom or other technology.
- Will provide a Coaching Agreement along with Fee/schedule Agreement.
- Full payment will be expected prior to the service being confirmed unless other arrangements are made.
- Cancellations on the part of the client may not be rescheduled without advanced notice. Advanced notice of a minimum of 24 hours is required to reschedule a session.
- If client is not satisfied with the service, it is necessary that the client discuss with the Coach and adjustments will be made.
- If the Coach feels the co-creative relationship is not a good match, the Coach may recommend a different coach.
- If the Coach feels the client would benefit from therapy or counseling, this will be recommended. At times Coaching can continue if appropriate.
- The client can terminate or discontinue the coaching relationship at any time.
- The Coach engages in training and continuing education pursuing and/or maintaining ICF (International Coach Federation) Credentials. That process requires the names and contact information of all Clients for possible verification by the ICF. The Coach will ask if client is willing to signing an agreement. The request will only have name, contact information, and start and end dates of coaching which will be shared with ICF staff members and/or other parties involved in this process for the sole and necessary purpose of verifying the coaching relationship, no personal notes will be shared.
Recommended for the Client:
- Make our coaching sessions a priority. Come to every call with a specific agenda – a clear understanding of what you would like to take away from the session.
- Do your own work between sessions. Use what you learn. Complete what you agree to do.
- Be open-minded. Try new approaches. Experiment. The effects of coaching continue in-between sessions.
- Be willing to change your beliefs and patterns if they do not serve you anymore.
- Provide at least 24 hours minimum advanced notice if you need to cancel/ reschedule a session.
